Why not
extend your weekend and take in some of the splendid
tourist attractions of Devon and Cornwall. The
tourism sites listed will whet your appetite.
The
holiday season should be almost over, so
accommodation should be easy to find. However, you
are advised to book accommodation early. The list of
sites below is not exhaustive, but should give you
some idea of what is available. The area around the
event is rural, and there is limited B&B etc.
However towns such as Holsworthy , Okehampton and Tavistock are only a few
miles away, with the holiday resorts of the Cornwall
and Devon northern coastline only a little further
away.
There
is a large Youth Hostel at Okehampton; Camping &
Caravanning Club sites at Lydford and Bude; several
Camping & Caravanning Club, and Caravan Club
certified locations in the area that you will need to
be members to use; and a large South West Lakes Trust
campsite at Roadford
Reservoir.
